HOUSE WARMING POETRY
WHAT MAKES A HOUSE A HOME?
What makes a house a home?
Is it the straightening of quilts
or chatting on the phone?
Is it the flowers in the garden of pink, blue and white
or cuddling on the couch on a Friday night?
Maybe it's the material possessions.
But what if they're lacking because of recession!
The family within creates the backbone.
That's what makes a house a home.
I FINALLY HAVE MY OWN ABODE
I finally have my own abode.
It's 20 minutes down the road.
I'd love for you to visit me.
I'll bake a cake and brew some tea.
And so we don't eat every crumb,
I'll wrap a piece up for your mum!
I finally have my own abode,
It's 20 minutes down the road.
